Frequently asked questions about BeepMe app – iOS & Android
Welcome to Beep Me, a mobile application available on iOS and Android that enables users to identify and communicate with other vehicle owners using licence plate numbers. You can use BeepMe to report stolen vehicles, leave parking notifications, send messages to other drivers, and stay connected on the road — all privately and securely.
To use BeepMe, you must:
We reserve the right to refuse access to any user who does not meet these requirements.
You can create an account using:
During registration, you will be asked to provide your name and surname (not publicly visible), email address (not publicly visible), a nickname (publicly visible), your vehicle licence plate number, proof of motor insurance, and a valid identification document for KYC verification.
KYC (Know Your Customer) is an identity verification process we use to ensure safety, prevent fraud, and verify vehicle ownership. You will need to provide a government-issued ID (passport or driving licence) and valid proof of motor insurance. We may use third-party providers to carry out verification, including biometric checks where applicable.
Failure to complete KYC verification may result in account suspension, restricted access, or permanent account termination if documents are not provided within 14 calendar days of the request.
Users can communicate only via the in-app chat. No voice or phone communication is available through BeepMe. You can contact another user only if you know their licence plate number or nickname. All chats are private between the participants — messages are not visible to anyone else. You may disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
From the home screen, tap + Report Stolen Car. You will be asked to provide vehicle details (make, model, year, colour, licence plate) and a description. Once submitted, nearby BeepMe users within your configured alert radius will be automatically notified.
Please note: you must also report the theft to the police — BeepMe does not replace official police reports.
No. The App may collect GPS location data only with your explicit consent. Location data is used solely to provide core functionality and improve safety. You may withdraw your consent at any time via your device settings, and tracking will stop immediately.
